Sustainability has been gaining so much relevance in the modern world to a point where it should no longer be considered an option but the ONLY option. With governments issuing regulations that aim to reduce the negative impact of humans on Earth and society growing more consciousness towards the importance of a symbiotic coexistence with Nature, thinking ECOCENTRIC is becoming the new DNA in the creative process.
Now, more than ever, there is a boom in research and development for innovative solutions that are making “green” more accesible, easier and more convenient (so, no excuse!) Mushroom and fish for leather products, algae for architecture and interior design, recycled coffee grounds in product development are just a few examples of sustainable and eco-friendly creative ways of using natural resources as a better alternative. But it does not stop there, we also have bio-couture, nanotechnology, upcycling, recycling, and much much more.
This blog intends to provide reliable and original content on sustainable and environmental friendly options. As an artist and designer, I struggle finding reliable and easy to read ECOCENTRIC tools, techniques, materials and technologies information. It would be nice to have a centralized, trustworthy, and up-to-date source to go to on sustainable materials, and that is exactly what I will attempt to do.
May this blog serve you as a key element of your toolbox in your quest to find creative solutions that will make this world a better place for a long long time.
